The forgotten profession

That may indeed be the best example in this context, but those who claim that scar tissue cannot stretch, are evidently abysmally ignorant of the existence of a profession, about half of whose livelihood consists of doing exactly that - the stretching of scar tissue after injury (or maldevelopment), to restore normal function.

Perhaps it's not surprising as this profession, though quite vital to medicine, is indeed very "low-key" and often forgotten.

They are called Physiotherapists.
