weeks, months. :) Exactly. From a couple weeks to two months at most, should be a wide limit, I think. But the best is to say that you'll see it better when to stop than I can through the plaintext.
>2) Is it necessary to abstain completely from sex? Would a careful session, with lots of lube, be OK?
I'd say that if you can control yourself well enough that you don't forget you can't go rougher, it should not be a problem.
>3)Will my frenulum ever return to its original strength/durability? Will I always have to be cautious?I'd guess -- I can only talk from my experience with my own fraenulum -- it will take up a shape after one or more tearing and healing that it's harder to break. After that it shouldn't break again unless you're /really/ rough to it...
>4)I've read about some sort of cream/ointment (somewhere on this site, can't find it now) that will help thin/stretch my frenulum. What is it, and where can I get it?
Betamethasone or Betnovate is the name (depends where you live, and thus what medical factory you get the product actually) --- the active ingredient is Beta-methasone, in 0.05 and 0.1% concentration.
Not sure if this is something you need right now --- I'd personally suggest some more waiting and then try to stretch with the help of it, if it's even necessary. Usually one's fingers are very good for any sort of stretching, but this steroid can indeed help. It does not render the mechanical part of stretching (ie. having to tug on the skin in order to make it grow) unneeded, of course; it's only a help.
