>>>>If you haven't done so already then check out the site that hosts this forum. It has plenty of objective information about the conditions that result in having a non retracting foreskin. However, it is generally best to see a doctor or specialist to accurately diagnos the problem. Once it has accurately been established what is preventing the foreskin from retracting, you can figure out the solutions.

>He took out his appendix and caused real bad bleeding. Jason almost died from it and my dad sued the doctor and got a lot of money. We don't go to that doctor any more but I just don't trust them now. I sure don't want them cutting on my dick. Wud like to know why some guys get cut without trying some of the other things to do.

Justin: So sorry to hear about your brother's ordeal. You are correct to be suspicious of so-called medical "experts". They are all too susceptible to prejudice and error.

You asked about why some guys get cut. My case (unlike AJ's circumcision, which was accomplished barely two years ago...see messages #595 and 597, 29 April 2001 of this Forum) dates back several decades, before the internet, and when foreskin stretching to relieve tightness was for all practical purposes unknown. It's not that I wanted to be circumcised, but the several doctors who counseled me all suggested, nay urged, circumcision as the only solution to a very tight foreskin. A bit of shame and a certain lack of imagination prevented me from challenging their view, but I knew immediately upon observing the result that I had made a huge mistake. (I've since largely restored my foreskin through stretching. (See http://www.norm-phoenix.org/).

The more recent fascination with genital mutilation as a solution to a tight foreskin seems to be a combination of indolence and intimidation. Other men have an erotic interest in genital mutilation. There are several internet sites specifically devoted to that peculiar fetish, the adherents of which often advocate the circumcision or the dorsal slitting of every child at birth.
