It's not much of a suggestion, but as to whether or not the procedure would be sufficient for you, that would be something you'd really need to discuss with the consultant that would do the surgery.

Is a dorsal slit better? I've read posts by people that have had dorsal slit surgery and are very happy, while some are not as pleased. I suppose that depends on the individual.
