>Has anyone had a similar situation? I am debating whether to have a frenuloplasty or full circumcision. With such a long foreskin, whilst a frenuloplasty may loosen things up and even may allow retraction, what about the long foreskin? It might remain a bit unsightly. Has anyone had this situation and what was the result of frenuloplasty alone?
>ThanksI was in much the same situation myself a couple of years back. Check out my Circumcision FAQ for the full back story. After several months of trying to stretch myself to functionality I had the problem resolved by having a partial circumcision and the frenulum removed. Unfortunately there is no way to deal with excess foreskin other than to live with it or remove it. If you are considering circumcision as an option, you would do well to discuss and clarify with the doctor exactly how much of the foreskin needs to be removed to resolve the problem. A full circumcision would leave virtually no foreskin, while a partial can be done to remove as little of the foreskin as possible to make it so that it resolves the phimosis and elminates your concerns over the length.
Hope this helps.
