AJ's Circumcision site is a decent enough place to discuss the deatils of foreskin surgery, particularly the recovery. I haven't been there is several months, but it seemed generally pretty supportive and informative, at least if you've already accepted the necessity of surgery.
I wanted to add though that it seems that the consensus here is that you are having something much more expensive and dangerous foisted off on you than is necesary. And while on the one hand, I am referring to the general anesthesia which is clearly unnecessary (a local will do, or at most an epidural, but you will definitely want both oral and topical analgesics afterward), I am also thinking of the foreskin surgery. Cutting off body parts should be the very last resort, since they can never truly be replaced. Please investigate and think through all the options for whatever your situation is.
