>should i use steroid creams like betamethasone as well as stretching?Stretching on its own may help, but using steroid creams greatly increases the chances of success. However, from what I have read, scarring does not stretch all that well. Still, if you don't give it a go, you'll never know.

Your GP/Doctor should be able to prescribe it.
>I am worried that even if i get the foreskin to loosen sufficently
>the band of scaring is very noticable when erect what can be done about this and what sort of doctor would i go and see.How are you worried? Because of the functioning aspects or the fact that it might not look so good? If it is just cosmetic appearances, I wouldn't be so inclined to worry. The penis isn't exactly the best looking accessory on a man's body. If it's functionality then you are making steps towards resolving that. If stretching does not work in your case, there are several surgical solutions which could be of benefit in regards to functionality.
All the best.
