Had full circumcision as treatment for phimosis and i'm very depressed

I recently had a full circumcision as treatment for phimosis. Before the treatment I had a limited sex life but what little I had I enjoyed it inmensely. Now I feel that I lost a huge part of my penis, I'm still in the process of recuperating, I don't want to sound dramatic but I don't think I'll ever enjoy sex as I used to, I've had major psychological damage from this operation, even more after finding out on the internet that there are alterative treatments for it that preserve the foreskin and all of its sensitivity (things which the 2 doctors I visited never told me). It's been about 40 days since the operation and I still feel like my penis will never be the same (less sensitivity, scars, etc).
I'm sorry for this rant but I'm very depressed about the whole thing and I was wondering if anyone who's been through something similar could give me some words of encouragement. I really need them.
