Tiny rips in tight foreskin

Hi,
I am 28 and have suffered from a rather tight foreskin since i can remember. The skin will pull back over the glans, however, during sex i get tiny cuts or rips around the retracted foreskin. These are very painful, and leave the end of my penis sore for a week or so until they have healed. I saw a doctor last year about the problem, and he recomended circumsision. I would rather not be circumsised but was wondering if there are any partial circumsision routines which may remove some of the skin, but leave enough to partialy cover the glans? Thanks for any advice.
