Written by Jay at 07 Oct 2003 16:48:28: Rash/Irritation on Penis Glans (Tip)
I developed a rash on the tip of my penis shortly after I had a rash on my feet. The symptoms I had with my feet were really similar to Athlete’s foot, so I treated the problem with anti-fungal medicine. It cleared up to a point. (This may have not been cleared up by the anti-fungal, but by natural healing.) Now on my feet I just have a rash that makes the skin have a red like appearance and they burn. About a month after I had the issue with my feet I developed a similar rash on the tip (glans) of my penis. It makes the skin look "textured" rather than smooth and it now has a pink-ish color to it. It appears to be most irritated at the opening of the penis and the "lips" appear to be swollen. It has only affected the tip and not the rest of the penis. It is irritated in a sense that when I walk and it rubs up against my pants, it causes pain. I have seen both a Dermatologist and an Urologist and neither have been able to help as of yet. I have tried treating it with: topical anti-fungal cream (several times), hydrocortisone cream, and lotion thinking maybe it was just dry skin. Nothing has really helped other than the lotion made it feel a little better. I also know it is not an STD. This problem has been going on for about 4-6 months and I would really like to get it resolved. Any help is appreciated.
