Written by Edwin S. at 07 Oct 2003 20:55:23: Possible Retrograde Ejaculation
I had a Testicular Teratoma removal in 1992 at the Frimley Park Hospital near Camberley in Surrey and, since the operation, whereby the over enlarged testicle was removed by an incision made at the left lower part of the stomach, rather than cutting the scrotum, I have numbness around this area since the operation. Initially, the surgeons told me that the nerves would grow back but, to date, they have not. In fact within the last year or more, I have been suffering with underlying pain within this numbed area, during and at the point of ejaculation. Sometimes it is worse than at other times but, I don't know why.
I have spoken to the original and, other doctors about this problem and, they have not really explained about anything that can be done. One doctor at the Royal Marsden in Sutton in Surrey, said that the nerves could be in the process of growing back but it's about 11 years since promises were made that the numbness in my groin area would return to normal.I should appreciate any suggestions as to how this problem can be resolved, rectified or cured, perhaps with nerve rejuvenation treatment, which I have heard about from an American Clinic.
Thanking you in anticipation,
Sincerely,
Steven Spratley
