That's why taping and other continuous arrangements are often preferred.You're right. I have pointed it out ("i.e. you have to apply tension ..."), but I have not emphasised how much force need to be used. Most probably no harm done -- if the guy is sane enough, he wouldn't have done anything too rough to himself anyway.
