It's generally supposed to make its way over the head.

It is supposed retract over and then back up the head. Spring is a bit too strong of a work. It should'nt be making a "booooiiiiinnnggg" noise as does a spring ;O)

You shouldn't be getting any pain during ejaculation. It also should not matter if the foreskin is being pulled up or down at the time of ejaculation, it still shouldn't cause you pain. Could you avoid this pain during intercourse? Possibly. You'd need a lot of lube though. So much so that it could possibly be like slipping it to a bowl of custard*. Seriously though, you have a problem which can be resolved - either through surgical intervention (for which there are several different types of procedures) or perhaps even non-invasive techniques such as stretching the foreskin (this works in some cases, but not all). First though you need to establish why the foreskin is not retracting. Is it phimosis, frenulum breve etc? Try the site that hosts this forum for more information on these conditions. Seeing a doctor or specialist is the best way to get an accurate diagnosis (you could also discuss your options with them). Once you know the cause you can look into resolving it.

Good luck.

* Don't try that at home, unless you really, really want to (ask Ralesk to tell you the custard story sometime - yuck!)
