As an answer to: to the guys who HAD frenuloplasty written by Mike M. at 01 Dec 2003 07:45:56:

Due to a short frenulum, I was not able to retract my foreskin beyond the edge of my glans. Any further would be quite painful. Becouse of that a frenuloplasty has been performed on me. My frenulum was cut in two and the small remaining pieces of skin were burnt away. After that some stiches were applied to keep make the wounds heal as nice as possible.
The bandages put around my glans on the wound let go within the day. I cannot say I really ever had any pain after this procedure. Just some discomort at first. For a few weeks I had to pay special attention while urinating and making sure everything was really dry after. The wounds healed within about 4 to 5 weeks not to notice any scars after. Or if there were they blend in with my raphe.
Now after a few months, I can say that I have not lost any sensations. I can now almost fully retract my foreskin without any pain. I guess if the pain is gone only the good sensations remain. If people were to claim that they experienced an increase in sensation I can understand that.
Are you considering a frenuloplasty for lengthening you frenulum? My short frenulum came in combination with a slight phimotic ring. This couses my penis to have a hourglass shape figure when foreskin is retracted. Do you experience something similar? (see http://members.lycos.co.uk/origins/phimosis_research.html )
