I am in my mid-twenties and for as long as I can remember if have neither been able to;
A) retract my foreskin (Phimosis or non-retractile) ;or
B) touch the head of my penis past the foreskin without experiencing pain.I have been to see no less than THREE Urologists. The first two suggested circumcision. I protested saying that the sensitivity of the head/glans is so intense that removing my foreskin would be like exposing me to permanent pain - ie. any movement such as walking, movement where the glans would rub aginst my clothes or ANYTHING would cause me real grief.
The first Urologist suggested I was making it up. The second heard me but suggested that the pain might be pyschological (ie. I was making it up) and the third claimed I didn't even have phimosis!! He said that the fact that I couldn't even retract my foreskin was all in my mind.
All of these doctors suggested that because I managed to have some sorts of sexual relations and mostly have no problems that I was once again - making it all up.
None of these doctors understood me when I said that with 26 years of experience living with my own body that perhaps.. JUST PERHAPS I had managed to develop a few techniques in making sure nothing EVER touched my glans.
The problem doesn't PREVENT me from having sex however it makes it an uneasy experience, and having ORAL performed on me is right out of the question because letting someone play down there usually leads to pain.
I have become disillusioned with the medics, all of whom have different but very unhelpful takes on the scenario. None of them seem to have the ability to offer any kind of suggestion or care outside of the textbook variety.
To top it off, searching on the net I find A LOT of people complaining about problems just like mine, however STILL my urologists claim to have...
'never heard of the problem'
I am seeking people who have this problem, know of it, or perhaps even know of the cause, a solution, or professionals who know how to deal with the matter.
I am prepared to travel to see the right specialist. I live in Sydney, Australia, however just because three quacks shrug their shoulders doesn't mean there isn't SOMEONE out there who knows what the hell I am facing is all aboout.
I hope to hear from somebody.
