I don't think it does make too much of a difference... but I'd like to correct what AJ said. When you trip and fall, scraping off some skin from your knee, I doubt you go to a doctor, even though it is somewhat painful while it heals, not? I mean, if you touch the wound or so. Same goes for the frenulum, the place will hurt for a while, but heal quite fast, and after it heals it will be tender for a good while, then it all becomes quite normal.
