Well, one thing I would do is try to pull the tip of the foreskin open as much as possible with my fingers, and look how big that hole is compared to the head. And then decide whether it's big enough. If not, just continue how I said it. Once it's big enough for that, you can try to put your little or index finger in there too, to aid stretching.
There was an "old" contributor here a couple months ago, Jake Booth, who went from not retractable to where he can put four fingers (two index and two middle I would guess) in there. I know I can put six there, but that I would say is way more than required! :)
