Tight foreskin - Efcortelan hydrocortisone 0.5% any good?

Hi all, im 21 and have phimosis, ive never been able to pull my foreskin further back than about half way down the gland when soft, it has never been a real problem for me (its just embarasing at times) and never caused any pain. Recently ive started to take action too make myself feel more "normal", and have been trying stretching for a few weeks with a small amount of success.
Today i went to my gp about my problem (the first time), he told me that the only real resolution was too get circd, but im not over keen on the idea off this, and dont want too rush into anything 2 permenant, so I talked him into giving me a steroid cream to aid the stretching, he gave me Efcortelan hydrocortisone 0.5%, and refused to let me try betamethasone, saying that it was too strong, and that it probably wouldnt work anyway, and if i dont see results in 1 month that i should concider having the chop!
I was wondering if anyone has experience with Efcortelan hydrocortisone 0.5%, and if its off any use in stretching?
