>It's important to identify what is causing the pain. Is it a strangulation feeling caused by the foreskin? Or rather a pain caused by the frenulum (the bit of skin underneath the head)? It feels as if the opening is too small and thus the penis feels as if it's being strangled. Right now, I'm convinced that I have phimosis. It's possible I also have frenulum breve but it's hard to tell (or rather I don't really know what to look for).
When the penis is not erect, I can pull the skin back pretty far. I was once able to pull it back behind the glands when not erect, but it was extremely uncomfortable due to the strangulation feeling. I never tried it again.
Should I discuss this with my regular primary care doctor or should I get a referral to a urologist and then discuss this?
