>>>Basically, what I was thinking it might be, is a fouled manual separation of the foreskin and the glans -- and that it's been there for long (how long?) could even suggest that. But in that case I'd expect perhaps a similar mark on the foreskin, too...
>>The thing is, I've not been circumcised. I was wondering if that was maybe a cause. I'm 28 years old.
>Definitely not. Actually, the chances to get wounds and marks on one's cockhead is quite higher when one is circumcised as an infant. You see, the foreskin and the glans are by default adhered, and that adhesion goes away /by itself/ as you grow. For some when they are 1, for some when they are 10. People quite seriously differ there. When they circumcise an infant, they have to tear the foreskin away from the glans -- which most usually will result in wounds, and not rarely in skin tags or skin bridges which are signs of improperly separated foreskin.
>On the other hand, some parents think that they should, or have been advised to, retract their son's foreskin and separate the skin from the glans. This practice can also lead to wounds and marks when improperly done, not to mention the discomfort to the child when someone touches their sensitive glans. (For this latter issue: Been There, Done That).
>I don't know what you and your penis have gone through, but my first guess was the forced -- and fouled -- retraction of your foreskin, which wounded the glans and left such a mark.
>A second guess was something like burning that part somehow, but that's rather improbable, and I'm most sure you'd remember if that had happened!
>Cheers,

I guess it's just been there all along, and I've only recently noticed (I had an STD scare, though tests were clear) as I've been inspecting more than is healthy really and getting hung-up on the slightest mark. My main worry was that this were an STD.
