phimosis - really getting me down....

hi...

after reading this forum for a while i thought id post, ireally hope someone could give me some advice...

im 24 and have been told by my doctor that i do have phimosis and the treatment that he suggested for me was circumcision which im really not keen on...

i have also been to see a specialist geno-utinary consultant who asked me a few questions etc....

i can retract the foreskin whilst flacid behind the glands, its just when its errect, the foreskin doesnt retract past the glands what-so-ever. it needs perhaps to stretch a further 3cm perhaps before this might be possible

ive never been sexually active and it was my ignorance/fear for not going to the doctor until i was 22/23 and i only saw the specialist a few weeks back....the specialist told me that they would only circumsise if it was painful during sex....but i dont even want to go that far give that i dont feel confident with the look of my penis when errect/flacid....

for some reason recently its been getting me down very much and i feel missing out on so much in life (relationship wise) and i cant talk to anyone about this, not even parents or friends, only my doctor knows and that was hard enough...also i just dont feel much like getting out and about and its recently affecting the only decent thing in my life which is my studies....

could someone advise me about the possible creams (Betamethasone)or other stretching techniques that ive seen people talk about....my doctor completely laughed when i suggested this as a possible way to help me and i have an appointment with him in 2 weeks (waiting times are so bad) but i could really do with some advice on what to say to him (will he just prescribe it if i ask to try the treatment?)

any help or advice would really be helpful and greatly appreciated....
