HELP on thrush

I was wondering if anyone can help me out with a few questions regarding my foreskin. I had a really bad case at the end of my penis; it was getting really white with cracks on my foreskin that hurt when stretched. I let it get real bad then I decided to do something and I heard that a anti-fungal, due to it looking like a fungus infection, would work so I used 2 over-the-counter creams One was clotrimazole 1% and the other was terbinafine hydrochloride 1%. I noticed a huge deference in just a matter of days. While 1 to 2 - 3rds of the infection was gone, the problem never went completely away. I knew that them being over-the-counter that they inherently can't get the job done. My question is I'm planning to go to the free clinic later this week, what prescription(s) should I ask for? Which prescriptions are oral or topical? Can I take 2 simultaneously ex. one oral, one topical. What strength should I get 1%, 5%, etc? Which is the best? The names I have heard have been ketoconazole, nizoral fluconazole, diflucan. Are there others? Do these drugs (if oral) spread over the whole body or just in the genitalia? If anyone could answer any of these questions, that would be excellent. Thanks
