I think it depends on the erection. A very intense erection can be painful. I know my hubby prefers to sleep in briefs because he regularly wakes up in the middle of the night with a painful erection- I think it's mostly painful because he lays face down and it pushes against the mattress.

But if you aren't relieving yourself sexually, that might be what's needed. Try jerking off more often.

But here is my problem some days when i wake up that is with an erection i feel like pain in my penis and sometimes it stays a couple of mins till my penis go back to normal size and then after a while it disappears. And the first time i tried to have sex after i ejaculated it felt funny and i had some pain for a while i dont know was just wierd and i dunno but think my penis like when back to normal size fast( but i aint sure dont actually remember too well) but the bottom line is i get these pains most times when my penis is erect and i am pretty damn sure that it is not normal and other people dont have it.. So please tell me is there a particular doctor i can go see who would help me?? thanks please help me out.. I am constantly thinking that one day soon when i tried to have sex it would really mess up my whole show... bye
