>Hello all,
>I am delighted to have just found this site. So far all I could find were anti-circ ones, Anyway, I'm in my 30s and have what I now know to be phimosis. I suffer no pain and lead a fine sex life with my wife. Thing is I only have a 3-5mm opening at the top of my foreskin. Obviously retraction is impossible. I have thought/dreaded doing something about this for years. Fear of circumscision and lack of information on the practicalaties have been a major put-off. But I suppose the fact that I have never had any problems (aside from shyness) helped too.
>So I would like some advise, is stetching a pointless excercise for me? I just read about steroid help, is that an option? Is it surgery or nothing.
>As much as it's not a problem and my wife is happy, I'd still like to be able to see my glands. I sometimes think it's be like being reborn!
>rDon't do anything drastic - your primary concern with the state of your genitals should be that you and your wife are having a good, happy sex life. Since you say you are, don't start sculpting. How'd you like it if you came home and your wife said she had always wondered what it's be like to be flat-chested so she went and got a major breast reduction performed. And that brings me to another comment - you haven't said how your wife feels about this. She's happy with the sex life, she knows how to operate the equipment she works on, and here you're talking about unilaterally changing the stuff?
However there are advantages to being able to retract the foreskin as well as to being able to expose the glans (they go together but they are not the same thing). By all reliable accounts, stretching most always works. It happens gradually, so your wife would be able to enjoy and adjust to the changes. She very likely would even want to help. There are steroids which can help, and some that hurt. The only one I know by name that helps is betamethasone. I saw a recent report that showed that over 80% of men who used it to treat phimosis were cured without an active stretching program. Ralesk will probably reply with a link to a description of the stretching exercises you can start with. Basically you just need to spend several minutes per day pulling the skin outward and more open - taut but not painful. Good luck.
