Ultra-sensitive glans questions, pre/post operation

Hi, I've had an extremely sensitive head ever since I was a child, when I touch it even slightly it hurts very very badly. I'm 23 and decided to have a circumcision done, but before the op I need to apply some cream to the head since it hadn't been cleaned properly. The problem is my foreskin is very tight, and paired up with the ultra sensitiviness, it is extremely hard to apply the cream at all. The cream in itself is not very "soft", so to apply it correctly I have to press on the head and rub it, which is agony for me. :( I tried using a q-tip gently but it hurts just as much. Is there a better way to do this? The doctor wouldn't listen when I said I'd have one hell of a time applying it.

Post operation: Sine my head is so damn sensitive, what kind of time am I looking at AFTER the op for it to stop hurting so bad? I've heard one week, or 2 weeks. I am really worried about this, because it really really hurts to touch it. I'm a grown man and it's the worst pain I've ever experienced. Also how long after can I expect to be able to have sex again?
