I've posted on this forum once before. I have pretty much the same problem as Nathan - not to mention, so it seems, a few other guys on here....

Non retractile foreskin, and ultra sensitive glans.

Now something has just popped to mind and I thought I'd pose a question. This forum constantly has people offering helpful advice on DEALING with hypersensitivity and phimosis.

I have to ask though, does anyone have any info on what might CAUSE the hyper-sensitive glans scenario?? I mean, I have spoken to plenty of guys with phimosis who can't retract their freskins. They don't however have any problem with sensitivity.

On behalf of the guys who have to deal with PAIN whenever their glans comes into contact with something foreign... I'd like to pose some questions and get some communication happening.

Try these on for size?

Does anybody KNOW what causes hyper-sensitivity? Is it too many free nerve endings? Is it simply a case of no contact due to phimosos? If this is the case then why are some guys slightly sensitive, who do some suffer no sensitivity, and why do some guys suffer pain?

Does anybody have any theories? Any suggested cures or treatments? Any success stories? Sob stories? Any out on a limb suggestions?

Has anybody spoken to a urologist who has offered insight into hypersensitivity? Has anybody here spoken to a dermatologist?

I'm looking forward to hearing something - if anything because having spoken to three urologists I believe that this may be one of those YET to be explained conditions. Would it surprise anybody if it had never been properly addressed purely because it is such a taboo area and only 10% of people ever come forward about it?
