>I have to ask though, does anyone have any info on what might CAUSE the hyper-sensitive glans scenario?? I mean, I have spoken to plenty of guys with phimosis who can't retract their freskins. They don't however have any problem with sensitivity.

I’m not sure, to be honest. I guess people differ and some are more sensitive than others — not being / having been able to retract surely does have the effect that you haven’t lessened the sensitivity of the glans at all, for years.

I don’t think any research has been done on this matter. I’m sorry for all those children who get cut and have to deal with the pain, regardless of that they remember it or not, later.

>On behalf of the guys who have to deal with PAIN whenever their glans comes into contact with something foreign... I'd like to pose some questions and get some communication happening.
>Try these on for size?

That might be some slang I don’t understand :P

>Does anybody KNOW what causes hyper-sensitivity? Is it too many free nerve endings? Is it simply a case of no contact due to phimosos? If this is the case then why are some guys slightly sensitive, who do some suffer no sensitivity, and why do some guys suffer pain?

I think no contact due to phimosis is a factor. My own sensitivity has lessened tremendously throughout the years I’ve been having contact with the head of my penis, for one.

Another factor definitely is people being different.

A factor can be that actually those who suffer from pain, may be having a mild inflammation going — that’s what suddenly got to my mind. I don’t honestly know.

>Does anybody have any theories? Any suggested cures or treatments? Any success stories? Sob stories? Any out on a limb suggestions?

The only thing I can suggest is to play and expose. Changed a damn lot here. (to be honest, perhaps even too much)

>Has anybody spoken to a urologist who has offered insight into hypersensitivity? Has anybody here spoken to a dermatologist?

Personal answer negative. I await others’ input.

>I'm looking forward to hearing something - if anything because having spoken to three urologists I believe that this may be one of those YET to be explained conditions. Would it surprise anybody if it had never been properly addressed purely because it is such a taboo area and only 10% of people ever come forward about it?

And perhaps urologists come up with ‘just get a circumcision’ — basically suggesting the exposure treatment to Dear Patient — so in the end, someone gets over it in a way or other, and no-one researches it.
