When you pull it back, is it tight? Does it kind of “choke” the head of the penis?

If yes, go on with the stretching (you said “finally” — I guess that means you’ve been training your foreskin) until that gets better. Try to masturbate more in a way that you retract, how ever odd that may feel now; it also helps.
