Thanks Ralesk, and of course to everyone else that replied. It is REALLY appreciated.
Tbh, I'm not losing much sleep over the things that can be stretched. For the past couple of days, before each time I go to urinate, I've been taking hold of the edge of the outer foreskin as close as possible to the inner foreskin, and gently pulling away from me to stretch the frenulum. I'm not sure how much the frenulum itself is being stretched, since the skin is so elastic, but I pull until I can feel some tension without any sensation of pain, so hopefully doing this a few times a day will help matters.
For the foreskin, it's at the stage where it rolls back over the glans when flaccid (although limited by the frenulum). It's by no means loose, and can sometimes take a couple of goes to get it back in place over the glans, but it moves. So the only stretching that it now gets from the glans is when erect during masturbation. Obviously, I'm more than a little concerned about the risk of it suddenly slipping back over the glans when erect and triggering paraphimosis. :-(
But this is what's really making me nervous...
>>- A section on the ridge of my glans doesn't appear to have separated from the foreskin. It's whiter where it joins, and although I daren't pull too hard on it, it's most definitely stuck. Is this likely to separate if/when I manage to masturbate with the foreskin retracted to that point, or is it something I need to seek help with? *gulp*
>Let’s see. Adhesions normally go away in your first decade, but can well do so later. If you start to actively exercise (as in, not just masturbating but also doing the oft mentioned stretching), you might want to separate yourself. I was 5 when I did some of what remained of mine, I doubt a 20+ years old guy would have less control in his mind and his hands than to mess up things ;P But if you decide not to, a doctor can always separate it. (That’s quite the first step of a circumcision, so your average urologist can most surely do it. — For this point only, if someone suggests that you have to get circumcised because of the adhesion, tell them they’re out of their mind.)The adhesion is really worrying me. It's only a little bit, only a couple of millimetres in width along the corona, but it's stuck pretty tight. I don't think it's just dried smegma, as I've already given it a gentle tug in the shower. I've also read that whether adult adhesions are self removed or surgically separated, it can leave the glans extremely sensitive to the extent that you only feel pain through it. That really isn't something I want to even contemplate. What scares me the most is that so far it looks as though it's stuck too tight to remove myself - at least, not without excruciating amounts of pain and permanent damage. And that means the trip to the GP, which I dread. Especially since I've just registered at a new NHS practice and don't know my doctor at all. :-(
