>I think pain killers will work. You could try ice on it (just now remembered, that might even make it less swollen). In any case, yes, do go to a doctor, but one thing, circumcision is Most Usually Not Required to treat paraphimosis. I really wish you had come here earlier. In any case, do try to ice it and try again (press out the blood from the head, push the skin forward — you might want to lubricate the head so the foreskin can slip over it more easily.)

btw...what is paraphimosis?
what what kind of doctor do i see?...my family doctor?
trying to push in the head sounds like more pain to come...and the 'tubey flesh' seems to be attached to the rest of the skin below it and chances of folding over the tubey flesh seems quite unlikely...=(
colour
head: pale red
swollen bit: pale red
underneath the flesh: tiny bit darker than pale red
the rest: brown (as it was before i tried to retract etc...)
