Okay, I’m awaiting whatever you’ll tell me about it :) Fingers crossed.

>btw...what is paraphimosis?

Phimosis = the condition of the foreskin when it’s not retractable (that’s a vague definition)
Paraphimosis = when the foreskin is stuck behind the head of the penis, because it’s too tight (by default or by acquired swelling)

>what what kind of doctor do i see?...my family doctor?

First yes.

>trying to push in the head sounds like more pain to come...and the 'tubey flesh' seems to be attached to the rest of the skin below it and chances of folding over the tubey flesh seems quite unlikely...=(

Shame I’m not at home, I’d try to draw an explanation or something.

I do understand your concern about the more pain, but I think that’s the only solution. once the head is behind the foreskin again, it doesn’t press it so tightly anymore, and vice versa, the skin doesn’t press the head so much. The swelling is there because things were pressed too tightly to each other and this tightness is what you need to get rid of. The only way to do that is to get the foreskin forward agin, to the normal position. Do you understand that?

I know it’s painful, I remember well when I first touched the head of my penis when I was young. You must take up the courage and do it.

Try to do the ice thing, and then try to press the head from the sides: so it gets smaller. Then you pull the swollen skin just a little, and push forward. If it manages to get over the “rim” of the head, you won this battle.

>swollen bit: pale red
>underneath the flesh: tiny bit darker than pale red
>the rest: brown (as it was before i tried to retract etc...)

Hmm, doesn’t sound anything unusual. Weird, didn’t expect that.

Best of luck!
