Phimosis or Frenulum Breve

Written by Jon B. at 24 Apr 2004 20:34:58:

Hi there,

I've been meaning to see a specialist, but, as I bumped into this page, I though I'd give out a brief description of my worries and see what I can learn.

I have a condition which I thought could be considered as a relative phimosis, but research shows me it looks more like frenulum breve. When flaccid, sking can be completely pulled back. With a partial erection, I can pull it back somewhat, but with the hourglass effect. When fully erected, I can barely even pull it. The glans can be entirely uncovered, but skin accumulates right before it. I feel a tension in the frenulum whenever I try to pull it.

I'm 22, and I've been sexually active since 16. Sex can sometimes be painful for both me and the woman when not done with care, and sometimes with some extra lubricant. I always thought it was due to my slightly above-average size of 7 inches, but I'm now guessing this is not the case. When penetrating without much lubrication, I have to be careful not to harm the frenulum.

So, which do you think this is? Can this be completely solved with stretching exercises (actually I'm sure you don't have a definitive answer; I'll get back to you on that on a few weeks)? I know both cases can be solved with minor slits. If so, how much time would it take for the little fella to be back up and running again? Will the lady notice it right away?

Thanks for your kind help.
