Good point. I always suggest that first should be the non-invasive fixing of things, and only if necessary, the more invasive ones. Most of us here try to analyse what input we get, and emphasise that a proper diagnosis might be a very good idea in some harder cases (original phimosis is definitely not a “harder case” that would necessitate a doctor’s diagnosis). One definitely doesn’t chop a little chunk of his lips away because he got herpes.
