Was my circumcision botched?

I was circumcised as a baby. Now I'm 20, and I have a question - I hope this makes sense, and I am quite serious in asking this question so please answer seriously.

When flacid, my penis hangs quite noticably rotated to one side. This is not as pronounced when erect. On the under side of my penis, and I suspect every penis, there is a slight "line" down the middle, that goes down the scrotum. There is a "break" in the line where (I assume) the foreskin was removed. In my case, the line before and after that break does not match up. It is skewed almost 90 degrees, which i suspect is what is causing my problem.

Is this possible? Is this genetic, or the product of a poor circumcision, or something else?

It has been that way as long as I can remember. I hate the idea of changing one's body for vanity, but if it was a surgical goof, I would like to be normal. It is embarassing and I want to know if there is anything that can be done.
