As an answer to: Re: frenuloplasty (post surgery) written by Ralesk at 04 May 2004 07:28:58:
>>I just had the surgery performed on Friday, and it is now early Tuesday morning (before going to bed). I have felt some uncomfort due to the stiches left in, however when i retracted my foreskin, there was some mild bleeding. Im unsure whether this was from the stiches rubbing or the actual cuts from the surgery. Is this normal to be happening after 4-5 days.
>Doubtful that’s normal, but I think it would be Harmen who could give you proper information on that. I would check up with the doc, just in case.>> That is completley normal to have some bleeding or oozing simply because you are moving very delicate skin about and that will often dislodge small clots and cause a little blood to appear. If blood is coming out CONTINUOUSLY, that is NOT alright and you should go back to the doctor
You now have conflicting advice on this but a a physicican I can tell you that all penile surgery tends to ooze and freshh droplets of blood come out few a few days because unlike surgery on most other parts of the body, the penile skin is so mobile and that creates the irritation and bleeding. Keep us posted. David
