The short answer is yes there would be a tendency for a varicocele to form but it's not inevitable by any means. They are rarely a problem either, and it is now recognized that their role in causing suboptimal sperm production and diminished effectiveness of motility was greatly exaggerated. Most owners of a varicocele won't ever know they have one unless they self-diagnose it or their physician tells them.
