As an answer to: Re: Undergo or not surgery? written by David_R at 07 May 2004 06:45:19:
I see what you said but I must say that by the answers I got from Ralesk I understood that complications as paraphimosis and so are far from me or maybe inexistent .... I'm so unconfortable with the idea of surgery and that's why I 'll prefer to wait a bit more as right now I'm now paying any health plan or so, but maybe later in 1 or 2 years I could see a doctor for checking this out. The thing is that I was worried with any kinda of urgency as I really didn't even know exactly what my "problem" was. And as Raslek said the rate for cancer even in my case is the same I'd have for lung cancer being a smoker. I guess I solved my problem by understanding it better and now I know what it is and if I wish so I can have the surgery but as I've seen in this site.... a surgery could bring me some "complications" as well . I mean I'm used to it the way it is...and if I got a surgery I would lack something... ca you understand? I mean having the glans out would maybe make them so sensitive as I've read about many other guys.
Well, I thank your attention and as I'm calmer now I might think of going to a doctor as soon as I can. I guess tat right now it wouldn't be a good moment but as soon as I see it's ok for me to go I'll do it :o)
>True phimosis would be what you have if, when you pull back the foreskin, there is just a smll hole in the sleeve of the foreskin. The only satisfactory cure is circumcision. Anything else leaves you with a penis that will never meet your needs and much worse... you will have the highest rate of cancer of the penis of any male. This is not to scare you but you must know this! Men with phimotic foreskins are at the greatest risk for this disease. Please see a specialist!
