You're right!
I woke up after the surgery, and my penis was in bandage. I was given something to eat and drink, told to wash myself carefully in order to avoid infections and to see my own doc in 2 weeks to have the stitches removed (if still there). The bandage was removed by a nurse the first time I had to go to the toilet. Then I was given a package of soft bandages and some local anaesthetic creme, no real comments except that I should use it. Then they sent me home.
Believe it or not, that's it!
Neither before nor after the surgery I was told about stuff like how long time the swellings will stay, temporary glans hyper sensitivity etc.

Anyway, all that is in the past now. I don't know if the lack of information was caused by ignorance or negligence, but it is most certainly annoying to feel that you are on your own in a situation like this. That's why I searched the net, and fortunately found this site and forum.
