No one appointed me to him: I just decided to see a doctor about this, asked a doctor friend of mine if he knew any good urologist (didn't tell him the reason) and he told me a name. Now, is that the way to go? I mean, are urologists in general ready to deal with this?
>Thanks a bunch.
>P.S.: I know I don't want to go to a psychologist (no point telling you why, trust me on that)I'm not exactly sure what a urologist will be able to tell you about it. They may be able to point you in the right direction so it's never a bad idea to talk to a professional about something.
Tantra seems to cover this topic pretty well but tantric sex is more than just controlling your orgasm during rigorous sex. It's about slowing down and savouring each moment and feeling, so this might not be what you're after. The best way to fight premature ejaculation is through practice and getting to know your sexual self. I'm at the point now where I can hold off on orgasm for quite a while, and if I do accidently let one slip, I don't have any refractory period.. I can pick up where I left off right away.
I'm sure you're familiar with the puboccocceygeus (PC) muscle which acts as a hammock at the base of your sexual organs. This is the same muscle that when you're urinating you can squeeze it to stop the flow of the urine. Basically the idea is to strengthen that PC muscle and get familiar with it, then learn to relax it during sex to avoid orgasm. (notice how when you squeeze that muscle during sex or masturbation you can come faster than if you relax it) So, it pretty much all comes down to muscle control.
