And now about the 5 yr old...

Well with all the research I've done this past week on account of the 8 yr old, I read that retracting the foreskin during urination can help eliminate the "spray" problem young boys tend to have. Although my friends with circ'd boys say they're no better at aiming and clean toilets are a battle at their house, too.

Anyway, I had my 5 yr old experiment with this in the shower. I told him what I'd read, and he agreed to try, although he warned me that "it comes out REALLY fast" when he does that. So I put him in the shower, and asked him to try it, and aim for the drain. He retracts no problem, but the spray went to the right instead of straight ahead. I looked closer, and sure enough the urethral opening is crooked. Oddly it seems to spray the opposite direction when he does not retract the foreskin for urination. (I didn't mention any of that to him, just told him maybe it's not such a good idea to do that after all.)

I'm hoping this is really nothing to worry about. I'm trying to remember if I read anything about this the past week, but I'm kind of on information overload at this point. Anybody know what this is called and if it's a problem? Thanks
