>Today is day 14 after my circ. My glands is still sticky. Every time I take off my underwear to go to bathroom, I have to tear it off the tip of my glands. It always dry up with my underwear intact. EBT, do you have that too? It's quite painful but I am starting to get use to it. David, does it have to do with my infection? Comments anyone?
Yes, I have that too. It has improved a lot though, the first week or two was the worst. It's almost gone by now. My surgery was 20 days ago by the way.
No, it has nothing to do with the infection.
I certainly don't hope so, in that case I have a problem too :) I was checked by my doc 2 days ago, and everything looked fine.
Maybe some talc powder will help a bit? This is pure speculation, but I think that this may by caused by some very mild etching of the tip of the glans, caused by that last drop of urine that stayed under the foreskin (due to unretractable foreskin) before the surgery fixed that (I had phimosis).
Now that delicate skin is recovering. If I'm correct about this, i.e. that the tip of the glans is in effect a wound, then tearing of the underwear set you back every time you do that.
I wear a bathrobe when at home, hoping that as much air as possible will speed up the entire recovery.
I have also used a creme that should speed up skin recovery. I started to use it 5 days ago, mainly to see if it could help decrease the hypersensitivity of the glans. Check out my post 'Ointment for hyper-sensitive glans' dated 5/06/2004. Such a creme might be the most effective thing to use.
Comments to this 'tip of glans is a wound due to urine etching' theori ??EBT
