And yet I'm finding conflicting information on that. But after yesterday's "experiment" I'm not encouraging it.

>>I looked closer, and sure enough the urethral opening is crooked. Oddly it seems to spray the opposite direction when he does not retract the foreskin for urination. (I didn't mention any of that to him, just told him maybe it's not such a good idea to do that after all.)
>Not sure what is “crooked”, to be honest :) For me – and sorry, I’m going to be a bit descriptive here – the left “cheek” of the meatus is a bit lower than the right one, however it never caused any problems.

Well, I know this is going to sound completely ignorant, but I haven't looked at too many penises (at least in real life - looked at way too many online pics this past week). Here goes... His urethral opening looks kind of like a very small slit, and it does not go straight up and down the head of the penis. It appears to go at an angle. Also it's slightly red compared to the rest of the glans.

At this point, he's not experiencing any problems other than splatter. But I've been assured by my friends with circ'd boys this age that they have the same problem. Like I said, I think I'm just on information overload with everything going on with the 8 yr old.
