>>Peeing while retracting is never a clean idea.
>And yet I'm finding conflicting information on that. But after yesterday's "experiment" I'm not encouraging it.You might have misunderstood me. I found that for me, both the unretracted and the retracted states work just fine (few exceptions, let’s not go into unnecessary details) — however, if while peeing (oh yes, I should have written it the other way around last time!) I would start to retract, it would be likely that unless I’m really careful (which a 5 years old child isn’t, usually), it would just go all over the place.
>>Not sure what is “crooked”, to be honest :) For me – and sorry, I’m going to be a bit descriptive here – the left “cheek” of the meatus is a bit lower than the right one, however it never caused any problems.
>Well, I know this is going to sound completely ignorant, but I haven't looked at too many penises (at least in real life - looked at way too many online pics this past week). Here goes... His urethral opening looks kind of like a very small slit, and it does not go straight up and down the head of the penis. It appears to go at an angle. Also it's slightly red compared to the rest of the glans. There might be a slight irritation then, judging from the redder colour — I expect it to be transient and go away. The size and “orientation” of the slit might be different once it’s gone.
My meatus isn’t anywhere straight either (I don’t know how normal that may be), it’s a little bit S shaped (not anywhere as curly as the letter, tho, heheh!). I think that the foreskin can well serve as a “regulator” here, and better the bad streams. Though I’m just brainstorming here from experience.
There is no problem in urinating either way, men have done both for millennia, afterall.
>At this point, he's not experiencing any problems other than splatter. But I've been assured by my friends with circ'd boys this age that they have the same problem. Like I said, I think I'm just on information overload with everything going on with the 8 yr old.
