Hey Guys
I've been really happy to read everything that has been going on. I am in the same situation with tight foreskin and sensitivity.
I'm aiming to possibly get a circumcision but have always been quite scared of the 'what if's. Now at least I know what's on the other side of the fence, 3-4 weeks of being umm... brave hehe.
You talk about using the B5 creams to reduce sensitivity after the big chop, but I thought I would mention the approach I am taking just in case anyone finds it of interest or helpful.
I spoke to my chemist/pharmacist today about getting the B5 ointment pantothenol(called Marcalan in Australia) and I'm off to get some later today. I intend to use it on top of what I am already doing - PRE circumcision.
SO HERE'S WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO:
Daily, I am using lubricant at the head of my penis and then letting it go inside the foreskin and onto my glans. It's to moisterise the area and get it slowwwwly used to contact with other things.
Also while it's lubricated there is no friction created when I touch the glans. It is still a little bit uncomfortable, and I think I still psychologically have an adversion to touching down there however it makes it easier than WITHOUT the lubricant.
I am then using a steroid cream prescribed by my urologist in the hope of not so much stretching the foreskin as LOOSENING it so that over a period of time I can slowly begin to retract it more and expose 'uncharted territory'.
The whole time I am doing this, I am experimenting bit by bit with the lubricant trying to slowly get over my adversion to touching the glans and start getting used to feeling a little bit of pain.
The more I can deal with this, the more I can move forward - no pain no gain eh?
Sometimes to make matters a little easier I am using an anasthetic spray called (wait for it - u'r gonna laugh) STUD 2000. It is a British product available over the counter designed to help men 'go longer' but it does that by acting as a desensitising agent. It is an ACTUAL desensitiser and it works.
I asked my urologist if there was a problem with using it regularly and he said as long a you cope with the stigma of having something in u'r bathroom called 'STUD 2000' then you'll be fine - no problems.
SO that's what I am doing. AND I am now going to go and get myself some of the Vitamin B5 cream that you guys have been talking about - thanks for the tip!
My aim is to try and SLOWLY relax the foreskin and retract it more bit by bit while at the same time working on the sensitivity. A bit more exposure? A bit less sensitivity and so on.
It's early days but I think it is having some positive effects.
And at the end of the day if the steroid cream DOESN'T give great results with loosening my foreskin, then at least when I go and get the chop, I will have glans that have already been partially desensitised simply though having regular contact. It could mean far less of a shock to the system.
I hope this helps somebody as much as the other messages from people here have helped me. I'll post some updates at some stage.
