> Lorenzo, you are on the right treatment, if there is no extension of the clot. It is absolutely safe to take one asprin per day: but only ONE and it must not be paracetamol- it must be aspirin. The clot may take months to go away fully: that is normal healing. If any painful hard reddened areas appear extending away from the thrombosed vein seek medical attention immediately- this is not likely to happen. I am a physician. Hope this helps, Dave
