Hey, I said it would work. I can't make any promises about it being easy! :-) Taping wouldn't do any good anyway. You need to be actually squeezing it.
In answer to another question you asked elsewhere regarding the sprays, if you mean anti-septic ones, don't use them yet. They're great for killing bacteria, but they also inhibit healing.
Don't worry. I know it's tough right now. Things start getting a lot better very soon.
