You will have 7 years from the very day of his 18th birthday to persue any legal action, if that is what you decide.
Durring this time however, I hope you are as open and honest with your childern as you can possibly be, which is more than I can say about my parents. They let a good opportunity pass by, but as they say, life goes on.
