Glans dryness post-op: leave it dry or moist?

Ever since the op the glans has been getting dryer and dryer. My question is should I leave it to dry completely, even when it's "cracking"? I took a back about 3 hrs ago and now the head is bone dry, you can see some "cracks" all across it, and i just noticed a little bit of blood coming out of the side (of the glans), which is a first so far.

The doctor gave me antibiotic cream to put on it, but that was over a week ago (his prescription was for a week).. besides, whenever I put it some residues would remain and stick on the glans for days.

What should I do? what did you do?
