Tightness and sensation

I have a slight phimosis - i.e. I can retract when flaccid, but always found it hard when erect. Steriod cream prescribed by my doctor (sorry, can't remember which type) has helped with this, but I now have a problem re sensation - i.e I can hardly feel anything during either vaginal or oral sex, which causes prolems with maintaining an erection (another new problem!). I suspect (but am out of the country so can't ask my doctor) that this has something to do with the foreskin being retracted, but too tight, stopping blood flow and consequently sensation.

I'd be grateful if anyone has any first hand experience of this, or some medical advice. I'm at the start of a new relationship and it is very frustrating!
