Not sure if my experience can help you make a choice, but definately take the time to think about it. I debated it for a while, but I was so tired of having phimosis that I just went for it. Results: I am very happy with it and shoulda done it years ago.

It could also be worth your time checking out Nathan's posts on this forum. You may also want to watch out for Ralesk's and Ivan's post about stretching the foreskin. You may find some help there that might help you avoid surgery.
